Beginners A Dance

Children begin to understand how to dance in beat with the music. The children explore movement and co-ordination, balance while dancing steps, exploring dance steps with positioning of feet and legs. Children will be given the opportunity to have a celebration dance feis. 

Beginners B and C Dance

​
Children will apply the steps they have learnt in the A dances. The children explore a more advanced approach from the A dances. All will have the chance to develop the pace and speed of various steps. Those who are on beginner B Dances will need to practice a lot more at home in order to advance to C Dances. Children will be given the opportunity to have a celebration dance feis and will have more dances to perform.

Pre-Opens and Opens

At this stage of the programme, all children/adults will be performing a very creative advanced style of movement. This will be taken to the next level where the children will have more complex movement patterns, more steps to perform in beat with the music, back and front rocks, butterflies, high toes front and back and high clicks. Children and adults will perform a show of their very own.
